Disability Sport Events (DSE) organise regional, national and international championships in a variety of sports. They develop, support and encourage disabled people to participate in sport. Events provide pathways to international success, such as the Paralympics, for disabled people with all impairments. Their work begins with clubs, schools and individuals at grass roots level. 

Roy would often have a Disability Sport Athletics event in his calendar.

Disability Sport Events are the events arm of the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS), but the division only receives 8% Government funding for their £500,000 turnover. As a charity, they rely on fundraising and sponsorship for programmes to exist.
